Botched Breast Reconstruction : Case 102
About This Patient
Dissatisfied with right implant breast reconstruction (done by another provider), this patient sought autologous perforator flap breast reconstruction. She had undergone right chest radiation therapy. The right implant was removed along with scar tissue and capsules and replaced with Stacked DIEP free flaps. In order to achieve better overall symmetry with her left breast, the patient subsequently underwent right breast reconstruction with a TDAP flap, and a left breast mastopexy. The patient experienced both cosmetic improvement and relief of symptoms caused by implant associated capsular contracture.
